Saskatchewan residents, especially farmers, interested in big game hunting, mark your calendars.

Beginning on Monday, hunters can apply for the chance to be drawn for elk, moose, pronghorn or mule deer.

The province says applications must be submitted online through the Saskatchewan Hunting, Angling, and Trapping Licence (HAL) system by 4 p.m. on May 25th. Late applications will not be accepted.

Draw results will be available through HAL accounts in June, except for pronghorn which will be in mid-July.

Successful applicants will also be notified by email, and will be able to purchase licences through their HAL accounts, beginning August 1st.
