SaskAgToday Roundtable: Agri-Stability Changes, Saskatchewan to be carbon tax free

Changes were made to the Agri-Stability program prior to the federal election call on Sunday. The SaskAgToday.com Roundtable discusses those changes and reaction to them.

Speaking of the election, APAS and the Saskatchewan Cattle Association are among farm groups that released priorities they would like candidates respond to.

The Saskatchewan Ag Summit was held in Saskatoon on Thursday as one of the presentations covered the potential medium and long-term impact tariffs would have on fertilizer prices.

Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe announced the province is becoming carbon tax free on April 1 and outlined measures to accomplish that. Plus, for the first time on the SaskAgToday.com Roundtable, there was a friendly disagreement between Chief Agricultural Editor of SaskAgToday.com Kevin Hursh and 620 CKRM Agri-News Director Ryan Young.
