The canola market appeared to be heavily impacted by tariffs imposed by China. It was the top item of discussion on the SaskAgToday.com Roundtable, as Kevin Hursh provides his thoughts on the ongoing trade issue not only with China, but the on-again, off-again tariffs from the U.S.
The tariffs were also mentioned at the SARM Annual Convention in Saskatoon and will likely surface again at the upcoming Canada’s Farm Show in Regina.
Elsewhere, the Water Security Agency released its Spring Runoff Report for 2025, predicting normal to above normal runoff for central and southern Saskatchewan due to the increased amount of snowpack.
