Agriculture in the Classroom Saskatchewan will have a presence at next month’s Canada’s Farm Show at REAL District in Regina. Canada’s Farm Show is March 18-20.
Ag in the Classroom will be hosting a thinkAG Career Expo March 18th and 19th for Grade seven to ten students.
“The thinkAG Career Expo at Canada’s Farm Show brings learning to life and showcases the incredible opportunities within agriculture,” says Sara Shymko, Executive Director of AITC-SK in a news release. “This interactive program will help students connect classroom concepts to real-world application, highlighting how Saskatchewan agriculture plays a vital role in our everyday lives and the global economy.”
Students will have the opportunity to visit various interactive stations, each focused on a unique career path within agriculture, including agronomy, animal science, agricultural technology and trades, research and innovation, food development and agribusiness. It’s meant to spark students’ curiosity and enthusiasm for careers in the agriculture sector.
“As farmers prepare for the growing season ahead of them,” says Carla Vipond, Show Manager of Canada’s Farm Show. “This program aims to prepare our sector for growing seasons to come.”
