SCA hosting fifth townhall meeting in Central Butte this afternoon

Central Butte is the site of today’s (Wed) townhall meeting hosted by the Saskatchewan Cattlemen’s Association.

It’s the 5th meeting over the last few weeks, taking in producer’s thoughts on the drought conditions and what can be done to provide immediate and long-term relief for them.

CEO of the Cattlemen’s Association Grant McLellan has been chairing these meetings and says they usually keep a light agenda so they can hear from farmers and ranchers while they take notes.

The location is the Central Butte Legion Hall from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Previous meetings were held in Cabri, Perdue, Kindersley and Cadillac, with attendance ranging from 70 to 100 producers.
