Rick Mitzel is the new President of the Flax Council of Canada.

Mitzel will replace Wayne Thompson, who has become the Executive Director at the Western Grains Research Foundation. 

Mitzel will also continue to serve as the Executive Director of Saskatchewan Mustard Development Commission and CEO of Mustard 21.

Mitzel has a Bachelor of Science in agriculture Degree from the University of Saskatchewan, is a certified crop advisor and professional agrologist.

Mitzel will assume his new role immediately.

The Flax Council of Canada is a national organization which promotes Canadian flax and flax products for nutritional and industrial uses in domestic and international markets.
