The governments of Canada and Saskatchewan are providing funding to enhance a program that helps deal with crop pests and nuisance animals.
The feds and the province are providing $19.5-million to enhance the Pest Biosecurity Program.
The 5-year program, through the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership, will be delivered by the Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities (SARM).
Funding will be available to R.M.s and First Nations communities to provide resources to help deal with invasive agricultural crop pests, noxious weeds and nuisance gophers, rats and beavers.
Those interested in the program can find more information on the SARM website, or the Saskatchewan government website.
