Viterra’s plan to upgrade its Moose Jaw grain terminal moving forward

Viterra is planning to make an $18-million upgrade to its Moose Jaw facility.

Moose Jaw City Council approved Viterra’s discretionary use application, according to minutes from the March 27th meeting.

Work includes building a 12,500 foot double-loop track to make terminal operations run more efficiently.

Construction expected to begin sometime this month.

The facility, first opened in 1914 by the federal government, currently employs 37 people.
