Below is an interview with Shannon Chant, a Crops Extension Specialist with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture, based in Swift Current. She provides her perspective on crops in the southwest and how the weather has affected them.

Richard Cuthbert, a wheat breeder with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada in Swift Current, recalled the hailstorm that swept through the area on Saturday, how much came down, and the extend of the damage done to crops.
