CN and CP Rail supplied a combined 91% of hopper cars ordered in grain week 33, an improvement from the previous week’s 88% and the best performance seen for the two railways combined since week 4 in late August.
The improvement in performance reflects a slight decline in performance for CN and improved performance for CP.
In supplying 90% of hopper cars ordered on time in week 33, CN’s order fulfillment performance declined slightly from the 93% order fulfillment performance seen in week 32.
This marks the second consecutive week that CN has supplied 90% or more of cars ordered in a week.
CP order fulfillment performance improved once again, with the railway supplying 93% of cars ordered, an improvement from the 83% order fulfillment performance seen in week 32.
This marks the first time in 28 weeks, since week 5 in August, that CP has supplied 90% or more of cars ordered in a week.
CP order fulfillment performance has now improved for three consecutive weeks.
